Testimonials

Sometimes, after my work with a client has finished, I hear back from them. It makes my heart sing to hear how they are getting on in life. Here are some testimonies from previous clients i’ve worked with. All reprinted with permission.

  • “I wanted to say how grateful I am for all the support you gave over the year. Our daughter is doing really great & is still practising the self care you taught her. Thank you.”

  • “You’ve had such a positive impact on our daughter & how she thinks about things now. I constantly notice her doing things that she learnt with you, From an eternally grateful Mother.”

  • “Dear Emilie,

I’ve been really practicing all the tools you’ve taught me, and have found a new-found independence! I’m no longer afraid to travel and try new things. I realised that what I had previously been doing in life was what I presumed I wanted and what I presumed made me happy, without deeply thinking about it. I’m so happy with what I’m doing at the minute, my course suits me to the ground, and it lets me get in touch with all the creative things you've taught me across the years!

I am eating my healthy meals and snacks, and feel great in relation to food,  As the sensitive person I am, I have learned to accept that I will probably always have anxious days sometimes, but know to remember all the tools I’ve learned to limit those to just days, not a life.

Thank you, deeply, Emilie. The things I learned in our sessions have shaped me as a person, and are still shaping the person I am becoming. I can finally look back on this huge journey, and see so clearly what I’ve learned, and not just in relation to food (even though that was a huge part), but also how to live a good, happy, kind life! Thank you so much for all the care and kindness you showed me, it has really inspired me to have a similar impact on the kids that I will work with someday. “

  • "Emilie is an incredibly kind, caring and supportive therapist. My own conditioned response was stubbornly rooted in a need to show and prove myself as 'enough'. Trusting and believing in my self-worth as inherent, elemental and intrinsic was a challenge for me, as it is for lots of people in life some times. Emilie supported me to full freedom and helped me release my perfectionistic, inflexible thinking habits by helping me colour outside the lines.

Creative, quirky and fun she taught me the value of uniqueness and to let go and embrace the messiness of life. She provided freedom, a non-judgemental space and personal independence in my recovered identity.

I am so appreciative to have been supported and advocated for by Emilie through a really difficult, hard-hitting post recovery life setback many, many years later. Even as a recovered person you are always an infallible human and it is not what happens to you in life that makes you who you are. I am so appreciative for her guidance, support and realism through this time. I painted with my sister and mum last week, a special moment for us, and I don't think that healing ripple effect would have happened if Emilie hadn't reminded me that I possess my own unique creativity and that life can be grey but also very colourful."
